We have not done a lot of driver testing, so when Aran said he was pulling it, it was time to see if we could figure out why with Koparo.

Better players still benefit

We were always confident that we could help beginners and most amateurs, but what about the better player? We put it to the test with a former England player. More good news is the range has reopened after a long delay.

It has been apparent that everyone does have a swing signature, something that marks their swing as their own. We started looking through our database to see if we had similar swings from different players.

In a follow up to our last post we have to be wary, as we are only looking at wedges. What would happen at the other end of the spectrum? We should take a closer look at the driver.

It's All About The Base

After last weeks blog on Ian, Aran and I discussed his swing some more, but we also started comparing this to many other swings. If we separate the groups into people of 2 handicap or better and everyone else, there is a trend we are seeing in this part of the swing over and over.

Then to add to this, it was an awful day, for the nearest to the pin contest that normal attract around 80 plus people, had just got over 20, so we thought it would be a slow day.

Marginal Gains

If there has ever been a sport that can capture the concept of marginal gains in it’s entirety, it has to be golf. Golf’s whole concept is marginal gains, from the tee box to the dropping of the putt, any small advantage, however incremental has a knock-on effect.

What Is Koparo?

The Koparo blog’s main purpose it to explore the data collection from Koparo devices in an open and public environment. We will cover areas such as marginal gains, a little bit of physics, some more advanced physics if the need arises and possibly toss in some things we have learnt about start ups along the way.
